Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you’re wondering about.

We’ve grouped the questions by topic. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, we can talk it all through face to face on a school tour.

01

Daily Life

5 questions

Hours, meals, settling in and the flow of the day.

What are the school hours?

School runs 09.00–16.00; workshops run 16.00–16.50. Early drop-off starts at 07.30, and late pick-up is possible until 19.00.

How does the settling-in period work?

For children just starting, we run a gradual settling-in program planned together with the family; we respect each child’s own rhythm.

How many meals are served each day?

Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack; all cooked fresh that day in the school kitchen.

What kind of clothing is needed?

We recommend comfortable clothes that can get dirty — plus a spare set for the garden and the mud kitchen.

Is there an afternoon rest?

Younger groups have a rest/nap time in the afternoon.

02

Health & Safety

5 questions

Safety, allergy management, first aid and the kitchen.

How is safety ensured?

Our school is monitored throughout the day and entries and exits are controlled. Safety is a daily practice of care, not a checklist.

How are allergies managed?

A real-time, digital allergy cross-check runs between the kitchen and the classroom; menus are adapted to individual needs.

Is the staff trained in first aid?

All of our teachers hold current first-aid certificates.

What happens if my child gets sick?

The family is informed immediately and the child rests in a separate, supervised area.

How are the meals prepared?

Every meal is cooked in the school kitchen that same day from unprocessed ingredients; no ready-made food.

03

Program & Language

5 questions

Bilingualism, program architecture and age groups.

How much English is there during the day?

Every classroom has two teachers, and Turkish and English are used side by side throughout the day (CLIL). English is not a separate lesson — it is a natural part of the day.

Which program do you follow?

On top of the Turkish Ministry of Education preschool foundation, we layer ESL-CLIL, GEMS and Montessori/Reggio/Forest School enrichments.

My child doesn’t speak English — will they struggle?

No. Immersion allows natural, pressure-free acquisition, just like the mother tongue.

Do you teach reading and writing?

We do age-appropriate early-literacy preparation; the aim is a solid foundation, not pressure.

How are the age groups divided?

Little Caterpillars (2–3), Caterpillars (3–4), Cocoons (4–5) and Butterflies (5–6).

04

Enrollment

5 questions

From application to enrollment; the process and the first step.

How does the enrollment process work?

Meet → school tour → application → assessment → enrollment. The first step is just a short introduction.

What information is needed for the first application?

Only the parent’s name, a phone number and the child’s age. No birth date or detailed documents are needed at the first step.

When can I apply?

We accept applications all year round; placement depends on availability.

Is mid-year enrollment possible?

If a place is available, children can enroll during the year as well.

How can I learn about the fees?

We share current fees and what’s included personally, on a school tour.

Still have questions?

The best way is to come and ask.
