Children can join us from age 2, and our classes cover ages 2 to 6.

We group children by age and developmental stage:

• Little Caterpillars (ages 2–3)
• Caterpillars (ages 3–4)
• Cocoons (ages 4–5)
• Butterflies (ages 5–6)

The journey from caterpillar to butterfly reflects how we see childhood: every child grows at their own pace and moves naturally to the next stage. During your introductory visit, we will help you find the right group for your child.

Enrollment starts with a short introductory meeting and follows five simple steps.

• Meet: We get to know you and your child in a brief conversation.
• School tour: You visit our school and we answer all your questions in person.
• Application: You complete a short application form.
• Assessment: We spend time with your child to find the group that suits them best.
• Enrollment: If a place is available, we complete the registration.

There is no pressure at any step — our goal is for your family to make the right decision comfortably.

We accept applications all year round, and mid-year enrollment is possible whenever a place is available.

Placement depends on availability in the relevant age group. Children who join us during the school year receive the same careful settling-in support, so their transition into the class is a gentle one. To check current availability, simply reach us by phone or WhatsApp.

For the first step, all we need is your name, a phone number and your child’s age.

We don’t ask for a birth certificate or any detailed paperwork at the introduction stage. Documents only come into play once enrollment is confirmed, and at that point we guide you through exactly what is needed. This keeps the process as simple and effortless as possible for you.

We share our current fees, and everything included in them, personally during a school tour.

We prefer this because it is the most transparent way: face to face, you can see clearly what the fee covers and have all your questions answered at once. To arrange a tour, simply contact us by phone or WhatsApp.

Of course — we would be delighted to welcome you before you enroll.

Because our children’s safety and privacy come first, we don’t admit anyone other than staff into the classrooms and children’s areas during school hours. For that reason, we hold our school tours after 17:00, when you can explore every space at ease.

During the day, you are always welcome to visit by appointment and talk through our educational approach over tea or coffee. Our door is open.

Every new child follows a gradual settling-in program that we plan together with the family.

There is no one-size-fits-all schedule: we respect each child’s own rhythm and shape the process around their needs. Our teachers stay in close contact with you throughout this period, so that both your child and you can grow comfortable with school at your own pace, with confidence.

Our education rests on a four-layer curriculum in which each layer strengthens the others.

• Foundation: The Turkish Ministry of Education’s Türkiye Century Education Model frames all of our planning.
• Language: Through the ESL-CLIL approach, English is lived as part of the natural flow of the day rather than taught as a separate lesson.
• Science and discovery: With the UC Berkeley–rooted GEMS program, children enjoy playful, inquiry-based experiences in science and mathematics.
• World-class methods: We draw on Montessori (prepared environment and independence), Reggio Emilia (documentation that makes learning visible), and Forest School (discovery in nature).

In the child’s day, all of these come together as one meaningful, integrated experience — never a confusing patchwork.

We don’t measure English in weekly lesson hours — we run a bilingual model that lasts all day.

• Ages 2–3: Children spend the entire day with their English teachers alongside their class teachers, acquiring the language naturally, just as they do their mother tongue.
• Ages 4–5: Around two-thirds of the day runs bilingually; for the remaining part, children work only with their English teachers, strengthening their active speaking skills.

To protect children’s expressive strength in their mother tongue and their cultural roots, most of our specialist classes are held in Turkish.

Our English program is led by graduates of university English Language Teaching (ELT) departments with at least 5 years of early-years experience.

For us, speaking the language is not enough on its own: what matters is knowing how to teach it to young children and understanding child pedagogy. That is why our English team is built from professionally trained teachers, not simply from people who happen to speak English.

No — our immersion approach assumes no prior English at all.

Children acquire English the same way they learned their mother tongue: by listening, playing and living the language in the natural flow of the day. There is no memorization and no pressure; each child absorbs the language at their own pace, feeling safe and confident. Starting school with zero English is never a disadvantage here.

Music, modern dance, ballet, chess, maker/robotics, creative drama, woodworking workshop, kid’s yoga, and life skills — all taught by specialist teachers trained in their own fields.

We never leave specialist classes to the class teachers; every one is led by a professional instructor in that discipline.

Yes — we provide age-appropriate early-literacy preparation.

Our goal is not to “finish” reading and writing during the preschool years, but to build the solid foundation that lets children start primary school strong and eager. There is no pressure in this preparation: we respect each child’s own pace of readiness and put their curiosity and love of learning above everything else.

Our children have a Lirika acoustic piano, a digital piano and a rich collection of Orff instruments at their disposal.

We believe that hearing true, clean tones early lays the foundation of a strong musical ear — which is why our acoustic piano is kept carefully serviced and in tune. In music and rhythm lessons, children play our Orff set of drums, cymbals, maracas and assorted rhythm instruments, developing both their sense of rhythm and their motor skills.

Our teaching day runs from 09:00, when it opens with breakfast, until 16:00 — and early drop-off is available from 07:30.

Our doors open at 07:15 and we welcome early arrivals from 07:30 onwards. Until the class teachers arrive, children start their day safely in the care of our duty teacher.

After the program ends at 16:00, supervised free-play time continues with the duty teacher for our working parents — so you can pick up your child after work with complete peace of mind.

Children enjoy three meals a day: breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.

Every meal is prepared fresh, that same day, in our own kitchen. The day begins at 09:00 with a relaxed breakfast together, followed by nourishing meals throughout the day that suit the children’s ages and needs.

All our meals are cooked fresh in our own kitchen every day — we never use outside catering or ready-made food.

Our nutrition principles are clear:

• Apart from essential staples that must come packaged (such as milk, rice and legumes), no packaged food, junk food or boxed juice enters our school.
• We never cook with margarine; everything is prepared with butter, olive oil and sunflower oil.
• Many of our staples — yoghurt, kefir, ayran, dried fruit — are made in our own kitchen using natural methods.

And we keep a lovely tradition: fresh, homemade treats left over from the afternoon snack are happily shared with parents at evening pick-up.

Children drink only water, our own freshly made ayran and kefir, and freshly brewed herbal or fruit teas.

Sugary, fizzy or boxed drinks have no place in our school. At parents’ request, we can also occasionally serve milk.

On tea, we hold a firm line: because of microplastic risks, we never use ready-made teabags. We source loose-leaf teas in sealed packaging from trusted brands such as Arifoğlu and Bağdat, and brew them fresh in our own kitchen the traditional way.

Children who need a nap rest comfortably — and children who don’t want to sleep are never forced to.

We plan the midday rest around each child’s developmental needs and the family’s wishes. For children without a nap habit, or who simply don’t feel like sleeping that day, we provide a separate space with quiet, calm and restful activities during this part of the day. Every child gets the rest that suits their own rhythm, and carries on with the day refreshed.

Comfortable clothes that can happily get dirty are ideal.

A good part of our day is spent exploring in the garden and the mud kitchen — and to us, a child who comes home a little muddy has had a wonderful day. For that reason, we ask you to keep one spare set of clothes in your child’s bag. No special uniform is required.

Absolutely — wearing diapers is no barrier to starting school.

We know very well that toilet training moves at a different pace for every child. Our experienced teachers work hand in hand with you and provide all the gentle support your child needs to move out of diapers. We manage this sensitive stage without any pressure, entirely in tune with your child’s natural rhythm and in the healthiest way possible.

Through the parent app developed specially for our school, you can follow your child’s day in real time.

Once installed on your smartphone, the app gives you one-tap access to:

• Meal and nap tracking
• Daily development notes and teacher feedback
• Photos from the activities your child takes part in
• All school announcements

We administer medication to a recovering child only with the parent’s written request and SMS-verified approval.

Our children’s health and comfort come above everything else, and we follow current health guidance and hygiene protocols rigorously. Thanks to the double-approval mechanism for medication, the process is always documented and always within your knowledge and control. We take every care needed to protect both your child’s health and the wellbeing of the whole school environment.

Every adult in our school holds a Ministry of Health–approved First-Aider Certificate.

The law requires only 1 first-aider per 50 people; we have deliberately set the bar much higher:

• Our entire team — from the principal and teachers to our cook and cleaning staff — has completed 2 full days of hands-on training and passed the ministry’s exams.
• Even though there is no legal obligation, we refresh everyone’s first-aid training every 3 months, keeping knowledge current and reflexes sharp.
• To foresee and prevent risks before they arise, we work continuously with a professional Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) firm.

Our aim is simple: in an emergency, every adult in the building can respond correctly and calmly.

Our security infrastructure is built on professional systems and monitored around the clock.

• Alarm system: We redesigned our security infrastructure from the ground up with Securitas, completing the full renewal in December 2025; the system is monitored 24/7 by the alarm-monitoring centre.
• Panic buttons: Buttons placed at various points around the school add a further layer of protection.
• Fire safety: Every room, large or small, has smoke detectors; the kitchen, boiler room and rooms on that floor also carry gas detectors; each floor has emergency call points and fire sirens. The fire-detection system is likewise monitored 24/7.

Yes — every area of our school except the toilets is covered by cameras, and footage is retained for 3 months.

Our camera infrastructure runs on the professional series of Hikvision, one of the leading names in security technology. Out of respect for our children’s privacy, there are no cameras in the toilet areas. The system’s cyber-security and software updates are also managed professionally, so that no vulnerability is ever left open.

We manage allergies through a digital tracking system developed specially for our school.

The software cross-matches each child’s allergy profile against the ingredients of every dish cooked in our kitchen, and reliably prevents any allergen-containing food from reaching your child. The system is monitored simultaneously by parents, class teachers, our cook and school management.

Because ours is a boutique kitchen, preparing a fully separate menu for each child isn’t technically possible — but we work in close partnership with you and agree the safest solution together, including safe food brought from home when needed.

Yes — our school is surrounded by rich outdoor spaces, each serving a different purpose.

• Play and discovery garden (280 m²): Mud kitchens, workshop tables and a safe playground nurture children’s imagination and motor skills.
• Ecology and farming area (40 m²): In our vegetable plots, children sow seeds, grow plants and learn nature’s rhythm by living it.
• Chicken coop: Caring for our chickens teaches children love of animals and a sense of responsibility from an early age.
• Winter garden and green areas: A winter garden for poor-weather days, a wooded area beside it, and two more green spaces in front of the building.
• Event terrace (60 m²): The stage for children’s shows and open-air activities.

We also hold safe outdoor activities in the grassed, wooded area directly opposite the school and in the lovely municipal nature park nearby.

Yes — four of our six classrooms have their own en-suite toilet, and the other two use a toilet directly beside them that is reserved for those classes alone.

We designed our toilet areas to be spacious and easy to reach, for the children’s hygiene and comfort; even the smallest is 7 m², giving children plenty of room to move freely. There is also a separate toilet inside our nap room, so children can reach it without waiting when they wake up.

Our team has worked together for many years, and our staff turnover is low.

Our principal has been with the school continuously since 2013, and our most senior teacher since 2011. Our core philosophy is to grow together under one roof, like a family, for the long term. Thanks to this stability, children continue their education with teachers they know and trust — keeping the secure bonds they form intact throughout their school life.

Yes — we don’t close for the summer; our Summer School program begins the moment the regular term ends.

We stay open all summer to make life easier for working parents and to keep supporting children’s social development without a break. The program runs continuously until the new school year opens, and includes swimming lessons in our own pool with an expert coach, open-air workshops and plenty of discovery-filled activities.
